Honouliuli Internment Camp, Oahu Island

Kakuji Inokuchi and his family cared for the three young children of the Shinto priest Shigemaru Miyao in the months after the arrests of Shigemaru, his wife, Yuki, and step-mother, Yoshie. Kakuji Inokuchi and Yoshie Miyao were relatives, and the Miyao children lived at the Inokuchi family home in Waipahu until their departure for the Mainland and reunion with their parents. In time, Inokuchi also would be arrested and incarcerated.
