Mitsuko Yoshimura was transferred to the Jerome Concentration Camp with her internee father, Kuniichi Yoshimura, and family in 1943. There she married fellow Hawaii internee Toshio Nuibe and in 1944, their daughter, Carole Yukiko, was born in camp.
