Arrived in Honolulu with about 775 other internees aboard the military troopship the Shawnee.


During Tomohide Tsukayama's confinement on the continent, two of his sisters in Hawaii, Ruby Chiyo Harrison and Rose Mitsuko Tsukayama, were arrested in 1944 and held for about a month at the Honouliuli Internment Camp.
