Arrested: April 1944

Honouliuli Internment Camp, Oahu Island

In the summer of 1945, Goro Yoshida was involved in an altercation with five young prisoners at the Honouliuli camp (Kiyoshi Nakasone, Ichiro Oshima, Hatsuo Oshiro, Susumu Tokuhara, and George Uehara) over the Yoshida's assertion that Japan was losing the ongoing war. The five young men were sent to Tule Lake within a few weeks of the event, making theirs the last group of Hawaii internees to be transferred to the Mainland before the end of the war.
