Kiyoshi Ito was a Kibei Nisei, born in Honolulu and formally educated in Japan. His wife, the former Hisaye Ishimoto, also was a Kibei Nisei.
During his incarceration, Kiyoshi Ito spent much of his time engaged in woodworking. He made the items that you see here while in the Honouliuli Internment Camp.
